Farm Day

FARM VISIT DAY, SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 19, 2021 11:00AM - 4:30PM

Each year we host an Open House at the farm, for our CSA members, people curious about our CSA program, our Christmas Tree customers, farm market customers, friends of the farm and those interested in sustainable agriculture. The Day includes a tour of the farm, a veggie potluck and a chance to meet the people growing your food and CSA/market customers as well as like-minded people.  You can also plant Christmas trees.

This year's farm day, because of the uncertainty around the pandemic, is tentatively scheduled for SUNDAY, September 19, 2021 from 11:00am - 4:30pm. (Should we need a rain date, check this website for the new date or if gatherings are still deemed unsafe, we will cancel). If you are interested in attending please e-mail us and we'll put you on our mailing list, if you have any questions or for directions.  The farm is a lovely 2 hour drive from the DC area.

Meet our amazing staff, tour the farm, see our farm equipment, plant or pick your Christmas tree, share a veggie pot luck, swim in the creek, and enjoy a day in the country. Bring a snack for the tour, bathing suits and towels.

Contact us for the best directions – esiegel2@igc.org.  It takes about 2 hours from the DC/MD area. Address is 928 Donahoe Lane, Needmore, PA 17238. 717 573-4527

Until further notice, we will not welcome visitors, especially unannounced.  We are working hard to keep our staff safe from the pandemic.

FARM VISIT DAY, SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 2021 11:00AM - 4:30PM (tentatively scheduled for this season)

In the hope we will be able to have gatherings this coming season, we've moved our Farm visit to the fall - Sunday, September, 19, 2021.

What People Are Saying

"We love Mike's produce and the whole experience. Our toddler always wants to know now where we got something that we're eating, so being able to tell him that so many things came from "Farmer Mike" feels great.  If there is another gathering at the farm we'd love it."

What People Are Saying

"I wanted to write to thank you for the fantastic day at the farm on Sunday.  We have been CSA members with the Takoma Park pick up for two years.  It was good to finally take the trip that our farmer and our vegetables take on a regular basis. . . . We look forward to coming again next year."
