Licking Creek Bend Farm consists of 60 acres tucked away in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Needmore, Pennsylvania.
Fruits and Vegetables
We grow a diverse selection of fruits and vegetables here at Licking Creek Bend Farm. Some of the more traditional farmer's market fare we grow includes: heirloom tomatoes, bell peppers, summer squash, cucumbers, apples, melons, pears, potatoes, and onions. However, we also grow many lesser known, or unusual vegetables, such as kohlrabi, tomatillos and pac choi. Additionally, we supplement our produce with produce from neighboring farms and orchards. Notably, we partner with Boyer Nurseries, based in Biglersville, PA, who provide us with a wide variety of fruit throughout the summer and fall.
Our produce can be found at any of the five farmers' markets we participate in the Washington D.C. metro area, as well as, several food cooperatives in the area. In addition, we offer CSA shares for those interested in getting more closely involved with local agriculture. For a more detailed look at the types of produce we grow and when they are available pease check out our Produce Calendar.
